Information Provided by Google Gmail Sync

When using the service, you may optionally set up an ‘inbox sync’ using an Oauth authentication to your Google Gmail email account. If you set up the inbox sync, the application will have read-only access to your Gmail contacts (e.g. names and email addresses) and your email messages.

The system uses your Gmail contacts (including what Google calls “other contacts”, i.e., people you have received messages from but not added to your address book) to allow you to search your contacts to choose which contacts to sync. The system uses read access to your emails in order to create a copy of the email messages and attachments to and from the contacts you choose to sync. We do not read or store messages from or to contacts you have not chosen to sync.

The data provided by Google through the inbox sync is only used to provide the service. We do not use your email messages or contacts to communicate with you about your account or to advertise to you. We do not communicate with or advertise to your contacts in any way. We may, in limited circumstances, access these messages to address security concerns or in compliance with a court order.
